As we celebrate National Volunteer Month, we extend our sincere gratitude to each member of Meadow Brook’s volunteer community. Their generosity continues a tradition established by Matilda Dodge Wilson and Alfred Wilson—one rooted in service, stewardship and a deep commitment to giving back.

Designed to spark wonder and fuel imagination, our new day-long Adventure Days blend hands-on learning with playful exploration, outdoor fun and creative challenges that make learning feel like a true adventure.

After a successful first year, Meadow Brook Hall’s monthly giving program, The 1929 Club, has set its sights on a new major initiative—raising funds to support the historic mansion’s aging timber restoration project.

The National Historic Landmark will host a season-full of fun with the elegant Mother’s Day Tea, an eclectic lineup of Detroit artists for the Summer Concert Series, all-new Movie Nights at Meadow Brook, the lavish Gatsby Garden Party, Yoga in the Garden, and introducing our all-new youth experience, Adventure Days, alongside a lively collection of tours.

With a history of hospitality, Meadow Brook Hall is Michigan’s most beautiful wedding venue. The entire estate was built with an eye for entertaining, from its 16 lush gardens to the two-story Gothic-inspired Ballroom – and its elegant Grand Staircase.

Oakland University Giving Day is a special fundraising effort to drive extra support for your favorite Oakland University initiatives – such as Meadow Brook Hall! Anyone can give! Make your gift go further, beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, with matching funds, special challenges and big support!

It may come as a surprise that one of the greatest adversaries to historic artifacts, artwork, furniture and collections–is light. Meadow Brook Hall has installed custom ultraviolet (U.V.) light blocking acrylic panels as part of an IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services) grant to preserve, protect and maintain Meadow Brook Hall and its collections from light damage.

Meadow Brook Hall is inviting Oakland University students to experience the estate in a whole new way with discounted admission to two of its most popular specialty tours: the Flashlight Tour and the Servant’s Life Tour.

Meadow Brook Hall, the National Historic Landmark, museum, cultural center and event venue, is being recognized once again for its world-class wedding services by earning top wedding awards for 2026 from two of the nation’s most popular wedding planning platforms, The Knot and WeddingWire.

A series of special events will help beat the winter blues at Meadow Brook Hall, starting this February. The Great Estate will engage and inspire this winter with the romantic Valentine’s Dinner, the ever-popular Downton Abbey-inspired Servant’s Life Tour, after-dark Flashlight Tours, and the elegant Gilded Tea & Tour.
