About Winter Wonder Lights

Winter Wonder Lights is a self-guided outdoor event featuring unique light displays across the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall, located in Rochester on the campus of Oakland University.

It will be a special evening of lights, music and magic where visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark at its most festive. Enjoy fun concessions such as glow-in-the-dark cotton candy and hot meals in our outdoor café. There will be seasonal and specialty drinks, live organ music playing Christmas carols, selfie stations, bonfires and more!

Plan Your Visit

All Winter Wonder Lights tickets must be purchased online in advance. Tickets are booked for a specific date and time to ensure a positive experience and safe guest capacity. Guests must arrive during the entry time on their tickets and expect to spend about an hour and a half on the tour.

Meadow Brook Hall members enjoy free access to Winter Wonder Lights. Members will be emailed a special code. Members must book tickets online in advance by selecting a date and time and entering the special code at checkout.

Visitor Information

Winter Wonder Lights is an outdoor event and will take place rain, snow or shine.

Parking is free and shuttle service is available.

Winter Wonder Lights is accessible to strollers, wheelchairs and power scooters.

Winter Wonder Lights features a variety of food and drinks, ranging from concession snacks such as popcorn and glow-in-the-dark cotton candy to hot meals in our outdoor Chimney Tops Café. Chimney Tops Café includes benches, bonfires and plenty of holiday cheer. Seasonally-inspired beverages, cocktails and kid-friendly drinks are available.

Health and Safety

Meadow Brook Hall is committed to the health and safety of visitors and staff. Face masks or cloth face coverings must be worn inside any building on the grounds.

The tour route for the outdoor event is one-way and spacious to help guests to maintain social distancing.

All guests must complete the health assessment form (provided via email) the day of your visit and submit it to staff when redeeming your tickets. A form will also be available onsite.
