Mindfulness at Meadow Brook

PRACTICE THE ART OF MINDFULNESS AT MEADOW BROOK

Join us for a series of events designed to support your mental health and wellness

The modern world can be a hectic place, filled with never-ending to-do lists, tasks and busy details. Finding your inner peace–mentally and physically–is an important way to care for yourself.

September is Self-Care Awareness Month and Meadow Brook will commemorate by hosting an all-new three-part series of events surrounding the art of mindfulness.

Mindfulness at Meadow Brook will feature three separate sessions focused on different techniques to help utilize the practice of mindfulness. Each session requires its own registration and ticket.

Mindfulness at Meadow Brook:

Grounding through Yoga & Guided Journaling

Wednesday, Sept. 20
6:30 – 8 p.m.

Join Darcy from YogaSix Rochester Hills for an evening session of yoga on our beautiful grounds! After the session, Darcy will walk guests through the practice of journaling. Journaling is a great tool in any mindfulness practice toolbox!

Expressing Emotions through Art

Wednesday, Sept. 27
6:30 – 8 p.m.

Exercising your creativity is a great way to manage your mindfulness and navigate emotions big and small! Join us for an evening of self-exploration and expressing yourself through art. Each guest will be able to create two small watercolor paintings they feel represent their unique set of emotions.

Mindfulness and Music Therapy

Wednesday, Oct. 4
6:30 – 8 p.m.

Join Andrew Dobry, music therapist, and Music Shapes, a local non-profit dedicated to teaching our community the science behind music, for a night at the Hall focused on expressing feeling and emotion through music. We’ll gather in the ballroom at Meadow Brook to learn about a variety of instruments and tonal compilations that best assist us with the act of mindfulness.

**The first 10 registrants will get their own hand kalimba to take home, courtesy of Music Shapes!
