Namaste! With several Yoga in the Garden classes, there are many opportunities to take a breath of fresh air and build your flexibility in an incredible setting. The class will be taught by instructors from YogaSix Rochester Hills. All levels are welcome to join this yoga class, which will focus on stretching and strengthening the body to release stress and rejuvenate.

Kindergarten through fifth grade students will explore the Great Estate and complete art projects inspired by Meadow Brook’s unique collection of stained glass, photography, textiles, sculpture and more. The camps feature fun outdoor activities, games, a gallery show and parent tour on the last day.

This spring, Meadow Brook welcomed the Stoney Creek Questers #203 back for another valuable volunteer project – polishing and caring for some of the estate’s prized silver pieces. Alongside our curator Madelyn Chrapla, the group took over the Dining Room to treat five historic silver pieces – from serving trays to candlesticks – with a slurry of calcium carbonate to polish the pieces.

Our Behind-the-Scenes tours are back for the season! Journey with us to rarely-seen areas of Meadow Brook, from staff wings and bathrooms to closets, playrooms and even our China Vault that features vintage liquor from the Prohibition-era. Available on Saturdays & Sundays, this guided tour provides special insight into what life was like for the Dodge and Wilson family and those who lived and worked at Meadow Brook Hall.

Our long-awaited De Carlo Visitor Center will soon become a reality. Construction on the new building is well underway and on track to be completed this fall. The new building is located at the front of Meadow Brook’s current parking lot and will not impact any of the estate’s historic areas, beautiful gardens or special event spaces.

For decades, Meadow Brook’s gardens have been lovingly tended by our many volunteers, including Margaret Jelsma, president of the Meadow Brook Garden Club. From her childhood, Margaret has always loved getting her hands dirty and seeing what grows.
