A lavish summer evening in Roaring ’20s style
In this twist on our popular Twilight Tours, guests are invited to enjoy an evening garden party in the style of The Great Gatsby. It will be a night of hot jazz and cold drinks set at the extravagant historic mansion and estate – worthy of Jay Gatsby himself. As a luxurious estate built in the 1920s, it’s the perfect location to attend a Gatsby Garden Party.
Enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar in a spectacular setting, worthy of even West Egg’s social scene. Bring a date or friends to sip a signature cocktail and enjoy live music while the sun sets over the Great Estate. Guests are encouraged to don their finest floral frocks or linen suits and hats for this themed evening experience.
Although Meadow Brook Hall is a grand architectural destination, it was a home built for entertaining–to be lived in and enjoyed. Guests are invited to play croquet and explore the gardens, estate and select areas of the historic mansion at a leisurely pace.

A Guide to Themed 1920s Attire
Guests are encouraged to dress to impress for this occasion.
Gals: Drop-waist dresses in fluttering florals, lace, satin or linen are a great choice. Opt for light, breezy colors and accessorize with pearls, long necklaces and scarves, feathers and hats – sun hats, cloches, fascinators. Be extra fancy with a parasol and gloves.
Guys: Pinstripes, light colored suits, crisp white dress shirts, suspenders, vests, bow ties and boater hats (also panama hats, fedoras, flat caps and newsboy hats) are the theme of the day. Slick your hair back and don sunglasses and a silk handkerchief for a polished look.
Please note that no weapons, including prop or costume weapons, are allowed on the property.
