
From Thursday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 7, Meadow Brook’s annual limited-run floral art tour will fill the estate’s woodland paths with large scale art installations created by flowers. See more than a dozen outdoor installations, then go inside for even more!
The 2025 Art in the Elements theme is Kaleidoscope. Imagine a cacophony of color and light. Petals of every description collide to form unique patterns, shapes and images. A whirlwind of beauty awaits, as a kaleidoscope of natural elements converge in an unforgettable display of floral art.
Art in the Elements features the work of floral artists from southeast Michigan and around the country. This year, the exhibit will also include indoor installations from several student artists from the International Academy of Macomb.

Art in the Elements admission includes a self-guided house and grounds tour and entrance into Knole Cottage, Danny’s Cabin and the Wilson Playhouse. The tour will occur rain or shine. Art in the Elements is the last weekend to visit the playhouses in 2025!

Art in the Elements will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 7. The special preview night on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. offers an exclusive opportunity to view the exhibit lit against the backdrop of the evening sky. A cash bar will be available during the preview event.
Advance tickets are required. Admission is $25 for adults, $22.50 for seniors, $20 for Oakland University affiliates, $10 for youth aged 6-12 and Oakland University students are free.

Meadow Brook Hall is the historic home built by one of the automotive aristocracy’s most remarkable women, Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of auto pioneer John Dodge, and her second husband, Alfred Wilson. Constructed between 1926 and 1929, Meadow Brook Hall represents one of the finest examples of Tudor-revival style architecture in America, and is especially renowned for its superb craftsmanship, architectural detailing and grand scale of 88,000 square-feet. It was the center of a country estate that included 1,500 acres, numerous farm buildings, recreational facilities, several residences and formal gardens. Named a National Historic Landmark in 2012, Meadow Brook Hall strives to preserve and interpret its architecture, landscape, and fine and decorative art so that visitors may be entertained, educated and inspired by history. Meadow Brook Hall is located in Rochester, Mich. on the campus of Oakland University.
