Our Behind-the-Scenes tours are back for the season! Journey with us to rarely-seen areas of Meadow Brook, from staff wings and bathrooms to closets, playrooms and even our China Vault that features vintage liquor from the Prohibition-era. Available on Saturdays & Sundays, this guided tour provides special insight into what life was like for the Dodge and Wilson family and those who lived and worked at Meadow Brook Hall.

Our long-awaited De Carlo Visitor Center will soon become a reality. Construction on the new building is well underway and on track to be completed this fall. The new building is located at the front of Meadow Brook’s current parking lot and will not impact any of the estate’s historic areas, beautiful gardens or special event spaces.

For decades, Meadow Brook’s gardens have been lovingly tended by our many volunteers, including Margaret Jelsma, president of the Meadow Brook Garden Club. From her childhood, Margaret has always loved getting her hands dirty and seeing what grows.

Find yourself immersed in the secret lives of the downstairs staff when you take our popular Downton Abbey-inspired Servant’s Life Tour. Explore rarely seen behind-the-scenes spaces in the historic mansion and learn what it took to run a country estate in the early twentieth century. Complete this remarkable experience with tea and scones in the real Servant’s Dining Room.

Frances Dodge embarked on a world tour in 1934, along with her mother Matilda and stepfather Alfred Wilson to a six month long journey across 58 cities across North Africa, South Africa, Rhodesia, Egypt, India, Palestine, and Spain.

Meadow Brook Hall will open its gates and grounds once more for students of all ages to attend our popular annual Meadow Brook Arts Camp and Meadow Brook Writing Camp.
