At Meadow Brook, volunteers are the heart of our mission, filling each day with their passion, energy & care. Our annual Volunteer Dinner is a celebration of their dedication and all the ways they make Meadow Brook such a special place.
We especially want to recognize Colleen Peters, who is this year’s winner of the Barbara Thorpe Award. This annual award is given by Meadow Brook staff to a remarkable volunteer who has generously given their time, skills, and heart to the Great Estate.

Eat, drink, and bid your way through a fabulous evening of impact, featuring live music, hors d’oeuvres & dinner, and a fantastic collection of items and experiences at our live and silent auctions.
It’s our biggest annual fundraising experience.
Nightfall at The Hall is set for Thursday, Sept. 25 from Golden Hour through Sunset. Tickets are $175 each and available online now!

Meadow Brook Hall’s historic stained glass windows have been restored to their original glory – and location within the mansion’s two-story Gothic-inspired Ballroom, following a shocking act of vandalism that occurred in February 2025 and an incredible six-month restoration journey.
After nearly a century, the stained glass windows were already in need of restoration and a project was in place to conserve the artwork prior to the destruction of one set of panels. It took a team of conservators six months to complete the work and all three sets of windows were installed back at Meadow Brook Hall this August.

We’re so excited! Meadow Brook Hall has earned the prestigious 2025 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, placing it among the top 10% of attractions worldwide, based on consistently high ratings and rave reviews from travelers.
This honor celebrates Meadow Brook as a destination that continues to deliver extraordinary experiences, exceptional hospitality and world-class preservation standards.
We are thrilled to welcome visitors from near and far to the Great Estate!

Today, our curator Madelyn Chrapla will take us through Knole Cottage—the darling playhouse of France Dodge that was known as the “World’s Finest Doll House.”
Knole Cottage was built for Frances Dodge for her 12th birthday in 1926 – making it older than Meadow Brook Hall! Knole Cottage is perfectly built to ¾ scale and was intended to teach Frances the art of independent homemaking, including decorating the playhouse and managing a checkbook.
The six-room cottage was furnished with child size furniture, textiles, decorative art, and fully functioning appliances. Admission to Meadow Brook’s playhouses are included with a tour ticket or grounds pass on Fridays – Mondays throughout the summer. Plan your visit today to see Meadow Brook’s charming fairy cottage playhouse—Knole Cottage!
