A National Historic Landmark, right here in Rochester.

Nestled among Rochester’s rolling hills and wooded valleys lies Meadow Brook Hall, the storied Tudor-revival estate and National Historic Landmark that was the dream of Matilda Dodge Wilson (widow of automotive pioneer John Dodge) and her second husband, Alfred Wilson.

Standing at a grand 88,000 square feet, Meadow Brook is an architectural marvel that’s been lovingly preserved. Boasting 110 rooms, a collection of more than 75,000 historic artifacts, carved plaster ceilings, rich wood panels and crystal chandeliers, it is especially renowned for its superb craftsmanship, architectural detailing and grand scale.

The fourth largest historic home in the United States and the largest in the Midwest, Meadow Brook is nearly twice as large as the White House. And yet, for all its splendor, Meadow Brook Hall was home to a growing, modern family and the setting for the innumerable joys, challenges and great celebrations of life.
