The brilliant and dazzling glow of countless colorful lights beaming in the crisp air is often a popular late fall and winter attraction in Metro Detroit, with holiday light displays popping up all over the city.

This year these kind of outdoor activities, which are often experienced from inside your vehicle, are likely to be more popular as other traditions are canceled or scaled down due to the surging COVID-19 pandemic.

Winter Wonder Lights at Meadow Brook: This self-guided attraction stretches across the grounds of historic Meadow Brook Hall. An optional leg of the tour includes the main floor of the hall. Concessions are available with glow-in-the-dark cotton candy, seasonal beverages, cocktails and bonfires at the Chimney Tops Cafe.
