Support Meadow Brook for #GivingTuesdayNow

Generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. As people, places and cultural institutions of all kinds grapple with the medical, societal and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have a chance to come together as a global community.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity set for May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to nonprofit organizations’ unprecedented need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since its doors first opened in 1929, Meadow Brook Hall has weathered many storms—from the Great Depression and several recessions to world wars, major cultural and social changes and more. With your help, we will weather the impact of COVID-19 as well.

In 1929, it cost approximately $4 million to build and furnish Meadow Brook. Today, it takes more than $4 million every year – some $11,000 a day — to keep the building maintained and our doors open. But, virtually all of our business activity ceased when those very doors were closed in mid-March.

If you are able, please consider making a gift of $29 to honor our 1929 founding.

Your support of Meadow Brook Hall throughout the years has made a significant impact on the success of our National Historic Landmark as an educational and community resource. A gift to support our operational costs on #GivingTuesdayNow would also mean a great deal to our efforts.
