Art in the Elements Presents a Kaleidoscope of Nature and Art

Meadow Brook’s annual floral art tour transforms the estate grounds into a breathtaking celebration of color and nature.

Meadow Brook Hall invites the community to take a journey through nature and art at its exclusive limited-run floral art exhibition, Art in the Elements. The unique tour features more than 20 large-scale floral art sculptures and displays created by renowned floral artists from across the nation. The exhibition will debut with a special preview night on Thursday, Sept. 4 and will continue Friday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Great Estate, located on the campus of Oakland University.

The year’s theme, “Kaleidoscope” celebrates the magic of nature in motion. Petals of every kind collide to form unique patterns, shapes and images. A whirlwind of beauty awaits, as a kaleidoscope of natural elements converge in an unforgettable display of floral art. The imaginative displays are sure to captivate visitors of all ages, sparking wonder and inspiration at every turn.

In addition to the outdoor exhibits, guests are invited to step inside The Hall for a self-guided tour featuring floral designs inspired by the mansion’s extensive art collection and unique architectural spaces.

Art in the Elements will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 7. The special preview night on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. offers an exclusive opportunity to view the exhibit lit against the backdrop of the evening sky. A cash bar will be available during the preview event.

Advance tickets are required. Admission is $25 for adults, $22.50 for seniors, $20 for Oakland University affiliates, $10 for youth aged 6-12 and Oakland University students are free. Admission includes a self-guided house and grounds tour and entrance into Knole Cottage, Danny’s Cabin and the Wilson Playhouse. The tour will occur rain or shine.
