The Gatsby Garden Party promises a lavish summer evening in Roaring 20’s style. In this twist on our popular Twilight Tours, guests are invited to enjoy an evening garden party in the style of The Great Gatsby. Enjoy a cash bar, live music, light refreshments and even croquet while you stroll the estate. Guests are encouraged to dress in 1920s style! The Gatsby Garden Party is set for 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 5. Tickets are $25 each and available at meadowbrookhall.org/gatsby.
The Great Estate is the perfect setting for a sensational dinner and a movie experience – and we have just added to special summer dates. See the film projected on the big screen in our historic two-story Gothic-inspired ballroom after enjoying a casual three-course dinner and cash bar in the Christopher Wren Dining Room. The summer Dinner & a Movie nights include “Roman Holiday,” starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck on Saturday, June 21 and the 80’s romantic drama “Dirty Dancing,” with Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray on Saturday, July 12. Bring a date, family or friends to enjoy live performances by some of Metro Detroit’s most talented musicians at Meadow Brook’s Concert Series. Come early to explore the grounds and bring your own picnic. This popular evening includes a cash bar, fun snacks, self-guided touring of the historic mansion during the talent break, and takes place in the Garden Tent, rain or shine. The 2025 lineup includes Mobile Dueling Pianos on Thursday, June 19, Kimmie Horne on Thursday, July 10, Dave Bennett on Thursday, July 24 and Ben Sharkey on Thursday, Aug. 7. Tickets are $40 per concert and available at meadowbrookhall.org/concertseries.
Experience a beautiful yoga practice in a beautiful setting at Meadow Brook. There will be several Yoga in the Garden sessions on Sunday, July 13, 20 and 27 and Sunday, Aug. 3. All levels are welcome to join this yoga class. Tickets are $15 each and available at meadowbrookhall.org/yoga.
Kids’ Summer Camps & Girl Scout Programs

Children aged 6-9 are invited to spend their summer at Meadow Brook Art Camp! Participants will explore the Great Estate and complete art projects inspired by Meadow Brook’s unique collection of stained glass, photography, textiles, sculpture and more.
The camps feature fun outdoor activities, games, a gallery show and parent tour on the last day. Click here to read more about the program.

Explore More on a Tour

Meadow Brook tours take visitors on a journey through time to learn about the historic mansion and the people who lived and worked there in the 20th century. Our summer collection of tours will run Fridays through Tuesdays and includes Guided & Self-Guided House Tours and Behind-the-Scenes Tours.
Beginning Friday, June 6, guests on a tour or with a grounds pass can visit the playhouses on the estate grounds – Knole Cottage and Dan’s Cabin. The playhouses will be open Fridays through Mondays from noon to 4 p.m.

Meadow Brook Hall is the historic home built by one of the automotive aristocracy’s most remarkable women, Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of auto pioneer John Dodge, and her second husband, Alfred Wilson. Constructed between 1926 and 1929, Meadow Brook Hall represents one of the finest examples of Tudor-revival style architecture in America, and is especially renowned for its superb craftsmanship, architectural detailing and grand scale of 88,000 square-feet. It was the center of a country estate that included 1,500 acres, numerous farm buildings, recreational facilities, several residences and formal gardens. Named a National Historic Landmark in 2012, Meadow Brook Hall strives to preserve and interpret its architecture, landscape, and fine and decorative art so that visitors may be entertained, educated and inspired by history. Meadow Brook Hall is located in Rochester, Mich. on the campus of Oakland University.
