About the Holidays at Meadow Brook

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOLIDAY WALK AND WINTER WONDER LIGHTS?

HOLIDAY WALK is a daytime, indoor holiday event experience that transports visitors through the historic mansion decorated for the holidays.

WINTER WONDER LIGHTS is a nighttime, outdoor holiday light show that transforms the estate with immersive light environments and features music, concessions, and more.

WHAT IS HOLIDAY WALK?

Holiday Walk is a self-guided indoor holiday attraction that takes visitors inside the historic mansion decorated for the holidays. Visitors explore all three main living areas of The Hall decked for the holidays, including the Great Hall, Ballroom, Living Room, Library, Bedrooms and more.

WHAT IS WINTER WONDER LIGHTS?

Winter Wonder Lights is a self-guided outdoor event and light attraction featuring unique interactive environments across the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall. An optional leg of the tour takes visitors inside the main floor of the historic mansion decorated for the holidays.

CAN I VISIT BOTH HOLIDAY WALK AND WINTER WONDER LIGHTS IN THE SAME DAY?

Guests can certainly visit both holiday attractions in the same day, however Meadow Brook Hall will close between 4 and 5:30 p.m. to make necessary operational changes from one event to the next.

DO YOU OFFER COMBO TICKETS FOR BOTH ATTRACTIONS?

Not at this time.

WILL THERE BE ANYTHING TO EAT OR DRINK?

Seasonal concessions will be available at Holiday Walk on Santa Saturdays. We also offer Holiday Walk Group Tour and Lunch experiences for $47 per guest (20 person minimum). Winter Wonder Lights features a variety of food and drinks, ranging from concession snacks such as popcorn to glow-in-the-dark cotton candy. Seasonally-inspired beverages, cocktails and kid-friendly drinks are available. The menu is available at meadowbrookhall.org/holidaymenu.

ARE ANY LOCAL DINING DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?

Looking for a great local dining experience close to Meadow Brook? Eat at Patti Finnegan’s Pub during the holidays and save 15% off any meal when you show your Holiday Walk or Winter Wonder Lights tickets. WHEN DO THE HOLIDAYS AT MEADOW BROOK EVENTS TAKE PLACE?

Holiday Walk and Winter Wonder Lights will take place on most dates between Friday, Nov. 29 and Thursday, Dec. 30, 2024.

Holiday Walk is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with last admittance at 3 p.m.

Winter Wonder Lights is from 5:30 p.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. with last admittance at 7:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., depending on the day of your tour.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE HOLIDAYS AT MEADOW BROOK?

Yes! Meadow Brook Hall is hosting several special events throughout the holidays, including Starlight StrollSanta Saturdays, Holiday Teas, Value Nights, Family Nights, and OU Day & Nights.

Ticket Information

WHERE CAN I BOOK TICKETS?

All Holiday Walk and Winter Wonder Lights tickets must be purchased online in advance at meadowbrookholidays.com. Tickets are booked for a specific date and time to ensure a positive experience and safe guest capacity.

If you do not have a timed-entry ticket upon arrival, you can purchase a ticket on your mobile device. If maximum capacity for a time period has not been reached, you will be admitted to the event. However, if capacity has been reached, you will have to wait for the next available entry time—which could be on a different day.

If you are having trouble purchasing online, please email Visitor Services at with your contact information, date and time you would like to visit and number of people in your party and they will reach out to you to help secure your ticket.

I’M A MEADOW BROOK HALL MEMBER. HOW MUCH ARE HOLIDAY WALK AND WINTER WONDER LIGHTS FOR ME? DO I NEED TO RESERVE TICKETS?

Meadow Brook Hall members enjoy half off* access to both Holiday Walk and Winter Wonder Lights. Ambassador level members go free. Meadow Brook members will be emailed a special code. Members still need to select a date and time for their tickets and enter the special code at checkout. If you need your code contact Lauren Guzzardo at .

I’M A MEMBER OF THE OAKLAND UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY. HOW MUCH ARE HOLIDAY WALK AND WINTER WONDER LIGHTS TICKETS FOR ME?

Oakland University students are eligible for free tickets to Holiday Walk and Winter Wonder Lights.

We will also host special OU & Day Nights where Oakland University staff, faculty, alumni and their guests are eligible for a special rate on tickets. A promo code will be provided to enter at checkout to get the OU rate.

**Oakland University faculty, staff and students must show their OU ID at the time of redemption.

DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET?

You do not need to print your ticket. Guests are checked in at the entrance by the name on their reservation.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AND WHEN DO I HAVE TO LEAVE?

You must arrive during the Entry Time reflected on your ticket (e.g., 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.) and expect to spend approximately 45-minutes to an hour and a half onsite, though you may stay for as long as you want within our hours of operation.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY TICKETS?

Tickets are nonrefundable, but you can reschedule your ticket(s) to another available date and time within 24 hours of the scheduled start time of your original tickets. There is a $5 rebooking fee associated with rescheduling.

Visitor Information

WHAT IF THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER?

The Holidays at Meadow Brook will run rain, snow or shine. No refunds will be issued unless Meadow Brook cancels due to unforeseen circumstances.

WHERE DO I PARK?

Parking is free and shuttle service will be available.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Both events require walking, so plan to dress comfortably. Winter Wonder Lights takes place primarily outside, so be sure to dress appropriately.

WILL PUBLIC RESTROOMS BE AVAILABLE?

Yes. Public restrooms will be available inside during Holiday Walk and on-site near the ticket redemption and concession areas during Winter Wonder Lights.

ARE THE TWO EVENTS ACCESSIBLE TO STROLLERS, WHEELCHAIRS AND POWER SCOOTERS?

Most areas of Holiday Walk are accessible to wheelchairs and power scooters, however strollers must be left with Visitor Services.

All outdoor areas of Winter Wonder Lights are accessible to strollers, wheelchairs and power scooters. Strollers are only permitted on the main level during the optional leg of the tour inside Meadow Brook Hall.

WILL THE GIFT SHOP BE OPEN DURING THE EVENT?

Yes. Our Holiday Shop will be open with unique merchandise and souvenirs available for purchase.

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING MY PET(S) WITH ME?

Only service animals are permitted at Meadow Brook Hall.

WHAT MEASURES ARE IN PLACE FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY?

Meadow Brook Hall is committed to the health and safety of visitors and staff.

At this time, masks are NOT required inside Meadow Brook Hall. Please be respectful of others and stay home if you are feeling sick.
