Celebrating our Incredible Volunteers.
At Meadow Brook, volunteers are the heart of our mission, making a meaningful impact on our daily operations. Their passion, energy and dedication breathe life into everything we do.
From docents, hosts, museum store attendants, to the Garden Club, Squires, and Naturalists, the talents of our 300+ volunteers keep Meadow Brook poised and thriving—preserving its legacy while creating memorable experiences for every visitor.

Raffle Prize

Carolyn Soma Shoemaker, a local artist and art instructor will be onsite throughout the cocktail hour doing a special live painting demonstration of our newly restored Pegasus Fountain!
This one of a kind original painting, compiled in front of our very eyes, will be the raffle prize at this year’s dinner. Each volunteer in attendance will receive one raffle ticket at the door, and the drawing will take place onsite after the Milestone Awards Ceremony.
A little about Carolyn: Carolyn lives in Oakland Township and is currently an instructor for all skill levels at Paint Creek Center for the Arts in Rochester, MI where she has also been an exhibiting artist at many of their local exhibitions.
In addition, Carolyn has been a participating artist at ArtPrize, a large citywide art festival in Downtown Grand Rapids! She also enjoys gardening and frequents Meadow Brook with the Paint Creek Plein Air Painters group. More information and examples of Carolyn’s work can be found here.
