Meadow Brook Boy Scout Programs
Bring your pack to Meadow Brook Hall and step back in time as you tour the mansion through one of our Meadow Brook Boy Scout programs. Meadow Brook Hall inspires and educates with its grand rooms and collections of fine and decorative art. The expansive collection provides Scouts with insight into local history that has had an international impact, making this estate, with its original furnishings unlike any place you have seen before.
Meadow Brook Boy Scout Program Features
- Tour times: Tours are offered weekdays after school and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and may be available on half days or days off from school. All tours are approximately 1.5 hours.
- Cost: All Boy Scout programs are $10 per person attending (Scouts, adults and siblings).
- Free admissions: With the first ten paid admissions, your group receives two free admissions for troop leaders.
- Holiday Walk: Programs booked during Meadow Brook Hall’s Holiday Walk are $15 per person attending.
- Arrive early: Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your tour to ensure starting and ending on time. Groups that arrive late will have their tour shortened accordingly.
- Amenities: All programs include cookies and lemonade, a craft/game at the end of the tour and a Meadow Brook Hall Patch.
Meadow Brook BOY SCOUT HALL TOUR
This tour focuses on the Wilson and Dodge family history, how life differed when they were living at Meadow Brook in the 1930s and ’40s, their contributions to the community and their role in making history. Approximately 1.5 hours.

Tiger Scout Achievement 1g – Go See It Activity
Go to a library, historical society, museum, old farm, or historical building, or visit an older person in your community. Discover how family life was the same and how it was different many years ago.
Wolf Scout Achievement 4f – Know your Home and Community
Visit an important place in your community, such as a historic or government location.
Bear Scout Achievement 3c, d – What Makes America Special?
c. Find out something about the old homes near where you live.
d. Find out where places of historical interest are located in or near your town or city. Go and visit one of them with your family or den.
Bear Scout Achievement 8e – The Past is Exciting and Important
Find out some history about your community.
Meadow Brook BOY SCOUT ARCHITECTURE TOUR
Learn about the history and construction of Meadow Brook Hall. This tour focuses on the architectural details and interior design elements of The Hall. Approximately 1.5 hours.

Meadow Brook BOY SCOUT HOLIDAY WALK TOUR
Come see Meadow Brook Hall decorated for the holidays! Scouts will tour the home while participating in a holiday scavenger hunt. Then stroll down the wintry path through the woods to Knole Cottage and Danny’s Cabin both “decked” for the holidays! Each group will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies immediately following the tour.
