The Holidays at Meadow Brook – featuring Holiday Walk and Winter Wonder Lights – have long been Michigan’s most dazzling holiday entertainment destination. Now, the outdoor evening light show, Winter Wonder Lights, will shine even brighter with an expanded tour route and all-new original lightscape attractions, the first significant change to the show since debuting in 2021.

Located in Rochester on the campus of Oakland University, Meadow Brook Hall will premiere the new attractions from Friday, Nov. 29 through Monday, Dec. 30. Tickets are on sale now at meadowbrookholidays.com.

“Meadow Brook Hall has grown tremendously in the past several years – in large part to our incredible light show, Winter Wonder Lights,” said Shannon O’Berski, external relations director of Meadow Brook Hall. “This year, we partnered with Detroit artists to bring a new vision of the light show to life with a series of exciting and innovative light attractions. Our guests can look forward to special new ways to celebrate the merriest time of year with us!”

Each new attraction is an original installation featuring creative technology that ranges from physical elements to animated VFX, specially crafted for Meadow Brook Hall by local artists from Good Sense Media Productions.

The opening of Meadow Brook Hall’s new De Carlo Visitor Center brought a remarkable new opportunity to re-imagine the tour route and opening of Winter Wonder Lights. Guests will now wander through the estate’s woodland paths beneath sparkling lights and emerge from a wooded entry trail to see a stunning first look at the historic mansion.

Next, the Visitor Garage dances with light as vintage Dodge automobiles come to life in a transporting vision reminiscent of Dicken’s Ghost of Christmas Past. This original and dynamic experience features the glowing apparitions of family and guests laughing and enjoying a winter joyride.

Large, free-standing mirrored pillars sparkle with an otherworldly glow, an inspiring illusion revealing kaleidoscopic patterns of light, endlessly reflected. This new interactive feature presents several mirrored cubic displays of varying scale and design mounted on free-standing self-contained pillars.

Winter Wonder Lights is a self-guided outdoor event featuring unique light displays across the grounds. It will be a special evening of lights, music and holiday magic where visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark at its most festive. There will be seasonal concessions and specialty drinks, selfie stations, bonfires and more. Winter Wonder Lights will run most nights from Friday, Nov. 29 through Monday, Dec. 30 from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Meadow Brook will also host a series of enchanting holiday events, including: Starlight Stroll, OU Nights, Holiday Tea and Santa Saturdays, which will feature special visits with the head elf himself! Value Nights will offer a reduced rate to visit Winter Wonder Lights on select Thursdays, and the popular Family Nights on select Sundays will offer free admission to Winter Wonder Lights for children 12 and under.
