Summer Concert Series
Swing into summer with Meadow Brook Hall’s summer concert series, featuring live music by local musicians. Enjoy a relaxing and fun evening of conversation and light hors d’oeuvres, stroll the gardens, or take a self-guided tour of the main level of The Hall.

The Summer Concert Series features:
- Hors d’oeuvres and a full cash bar
- Self-guided main floor tour of The Hall (available until the first intermission)
- Will occur rain or shine

About the performers
George “Sax” Benson (Thursday, July 13)
George began his playing career at the age of eleven and played his first professional job at age sixteen. His performance credits range from Louis Armstrong to Lena Horn to Stevie Wonder to Ella Fitzgerald to Milton Berle, just to name a few. George is a well known teacher of jazz improvisation and theory.
Shahida Nurullah (Thursday, July 27)
A versatile vocalist, Shahida Nurullah’s repertoire includes the blues, jazz, samba, bossa nova, show tunes and more. Shahida has performed at numerous southeast Michigan clubs as well as in the musical, “After Hours: Great Legends, Great Music!”
Dave Bennett (Thursday, August 24)
A multi-instrument phenomenon, Dave Bennett is a clarinet virtuoso who plays electric guitar, piano, drums and vocalizes. He is the only artist anywhere saluting The Roots of Pop: covering music from the Swing Era to early Rockabilly and Country, to Elvis Presley, the Beatles and more.
