Meadow Brook Hall’s Lunch & Learn- April 2011

Meadow Brook Hall presents their annual Lunch & Learn, an educational community event. This spring’s event includes a lecture on the world of auctions and auction houses by Ernest DuMouchelle of DuMouchelle’s Auction House in Detroit. During the lecture, guests will enjoy a box lunch supplied by Meadow Brook Hall’s catering team.

Darlene Hines, CEO of Nostalgia Antique Appraisal Service, whose education began at our own Oakland University, hasn’t stopped obtaining degrees and certifications, studying everywhere from Wayne State to Winterthur to the Baltimore Museum of the Art. We are happy to announce that Ms. Hines will be joining Mr. DuMouchelle at the conclusion of this lecture and offering complimentary appraisals. Guests will have the chance to have one item appraised by one of these two experts. (Object must be small enough to carry in by hand).

This fundraiser is facilitated by the Squires, a group of men who help preserve The Hall by doing maintenance projects and developing philanthropic programs like this, that serve as fundraisers for The Hall. The Squires meet monthly and and visit other historic sites throughout Michigan. If you have seen men helping in the garden, painting, making objects for exhibits, fixing doors, or more, chances are you saw one of the many ways the Squires help The Hall!

Tickets are $25 each. Reservations are required as seats are limited, please call (248) 364-6263.
